Ahoy Christin, and welcome to planDisney! I am happy you are here to ask your Disney Cruise Line questions.
It is important to have the correct
travel documentation because you cannot board the ship without it. For closed-looped cruises such as yours (begin and end at the same U.S. port), you can present either a U.S. passport or an original or copy of your state-issued birth certificate and a physical government-issued photo ID (digital/mobile state-issued IDs are not valid to sail at this time). Children ages 15 years or younger must present a U.S. passport or an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate; a government-issued photo ID is not needed. You will not need to present your passport or birth certificate when you disembark in Cozumel or Disney Castaway Cay, but you will need your government-issued photo ID, so do not leave it in your stateroom.
While planning your Disney Cruise Line vacation, check out the
Port Adventures in Cozumel, Mexico. The beaches of Cozumel are beautiful, and there are many Port Adventures that will take you to one of them. If the beach does not interest you, there are also Port Adventures that include hiking, nature, sightseeing, and cultural experiences. The
Mexican Cuisine Workshop and Tasting would be right up my alley! On
Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line's private island, there are
plenty of activities, such as snorkeling at the family beach or booking C
astaway Ray's Stingray Adventure.
Christin, if you have any other questions, swing, like Tarzan, back to planDisney. We will be here to help.
Adventure is out there!
