do you need a passport to go on a Disney cruise, or is a birth certificate good enough to prove citizenship?

    Hello Charles,

Thanks so much for writing to us!  And thank you for asking an important question about required cruise documentation.  You don't mention where you are sailing from or to, so my recommendation is that you visit Disney Cruise Line's Passport and Travel Documentation page to ensure that you have the information you need to board your cruise.  You can also visit the U.S. State Department's website for up to date information.  Regardless of where you are traveling, I encourage you to consider bringing a passport.  In the highly unlikely event that you have to disembark the ship and fly back to the United States, you will need a passport to gain entry.

    Have a magical vacation!
