Ahoy, Hannah!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sailing the high seas on Disney Cruise Line is an adventure you'll never forget! My family loves cruising to exotic ports of call with Captain Mickey at the helm. All four
Disney Cruise Line ships have so many things to do on every deck; there is something for everyone to enjoy while onboard.
At this time, U.S. citizens embarking on Disney Cruise Line itineraries leaving from a U.S. port and returning to the same U.S. port do not need to have a valid passport to sail. Instead, Guests will need to bring a government-issued photo ID (like a driver's license) and a state-issued birth certificate as proof of U.S. citizenship. Children under the age of 16 who are traveling with their parents may bring a state-issued birth certificate. Before booking your future Disney Cruise, take a look at the
Passports & Travel Documentation so you're sure to have all the required documents needed.
Hannah, even though a valid passport isn't required to set sail for certain itineraries, Disney Cruise Line highly recommends Guests having one. Whenever we cruise with Captain Mickey, each member of my family brings along their valid passport. There are
so many benefits to having a passport while cruising! If an emergency happens while visiting another country, a valid passport will be needed in order to fly home.
Thank you for sailing by with this excellent question! If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again!
