Hi Karim,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!
While citizens of the United States don’t need a valid US Passport to travel on certain “closed loop” Disney Cruise Line itineraries (though
carrying a passport is still recommended), citizens of all other countries must travel with an original valid passport to set sail. The one exception would be Canadians who participate in one of the Trusted Traveler Programs (NEXUS or FAST) that exist for Canadian and American citizens.
If you’re a citizen of another country, you’ll need to have your passport with you in order to set sail. Please note that if you are a legal permanent resident of the United States, you must also present a valid original Permanent Resident Card. Also, don’t forget that many countries do require a visa for travel, so I’d highly recommend that you check to see whether a visa may be required in your case.
If you have any questions about the citizenship documentation required for a specific sailing, I recommend that you visit Disney Cruise Line’s
Passports, Visas & Citizenship Documentation page and click on the type of sailing that you’ll be on. You can also
contact Disney Cruise Line by email if you’d like some additional information.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
