Do you need to have a park ticket to enter a resort for a dinner reservation? Is that required? We do not want to do that park on that day.. we do just want to head to the Polynesian village resort for a dinner reservation.

    Hello Morgan!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a very good question!

The Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite vacation destinations because there is a lot to see and do outside the theme parks as well. I really appreciate visiting Disney Resort hotels to enjoy their restaurants and lounges. Some of my favorite dining destinations are California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – dinner at this beautiful restaurant is absolutely delicious!

I am happy to share that you do not need theme park admission to visit a Disney Resort hotel . Sometimes I don’t have a dining reservation, but like to spend time at a lounge or at the lobby enjoying the decorations. During the Holidays, for example, I love visiting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to check out the beautiful and famous gingerbread house. At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort I recommend visiting Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and stopping by Pinapple Lanai for a Dole Whip. Time your visit right and you may even catch Happily Ever After fireworks from the hotel beach!

I hope this helps you while planning, Morgan. Enjoy your dining adventures and come back to visit us real soon!

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
