Hey, Aimee, and welcome to planDisney. Imagine this: It is a comfortable winter night, you look around and there are garlands strung overhead, a 60-foot Christmas tree with Disney decorations, and the smell of holiday baked goods in the air. Yep, you have it and so do I. This is exactly my experience year after year when I walk through the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park during the winter holidays. I just love how it snows on Main Street, U.S.A.
Special events such as
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party only require a special event party ticket. You do not need to purchase a theme park ticket if you only plan on attending the party. In fact, the official party start time is 7:00 p.m. but Guests are typically allowed in around 4:00 p.m. giving you an extra three hours of Mickey and the gang. Tickets are not yet available for these parties and were released last year in April. Keep checking the
Disney Parks Blog for information on special events and other enchanted information.
planDisney Pro Tip: While the attractions are a huge draw for most people I love meeting Disney characters dressed in their special holiday attire. When I look back at my
Disney PhotoPass photos I know exactly when I was at Walt Disney World Resort by their outfits.
Aimee, please
let me know if you need more information to help you plan your December Disney adventure.
Enjoy making many holiday and Magical Memories.
