Welcome to planDisney, Brent! I'm so excited to have a chat about your upcoming trip! January is such a fantastic time to visit Disney World, especially with little ones! The weather is just lovely, and starting from the second week of the month, the crowds tend to thin out a bit. That means more fun and less waiting in line for everything you love! I really hope you get to experience that magic soon!
Now, let's dive into tickets! Here's the scoop: it's not the age of the Guest that decides if a theme park reservation is needed, but rather the type of admission. If you and your child have the same type of ticket, and you need
a theme park reservation, your little one will need one too.
But here's the good news! You no longer need a theme park reservation for date-based tickets. When you
buy a date-based ticket, you just pick a start date. However, some other ticket types still do require reservations, like student group tickets, sports and convention tickets, Disney Military Salute Tickets, and annual passes.
For both date-based 1-day and multi-day tickets, you're in the clear! No theme park reservation is needed, no matter the age of your Guest.
I hope this clears things up for you, Brent! I can't wait to hear all about the amazing adventures you'll have with your family and friends soon. If you have any more questions or just want to chat,
feel free to reach out anytime. We're always here and happy to help wonderful friends like you!
Cheers,
Nilson
