Do you need to make a park reservation for special events such as Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party? Thank you!

    Seasons Greetings, Lisa!

Welcome to planDisney! In just a few short months, your magical adventure to the Walt Disney World Resort will begin. The 50th Anniversary Celebration will still be going strong, along with all the new experiences that were created for the event. One of my favorite experiences is the 50 golden sculptures that are a part of Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection. In each of the 4 theme parks, you will find a part of this collection representing 50 of the most popular and most loved Disney Characters. They don’t mind posing for photos or selfies and they will also interact with the new MagicBand+ debuting later this year.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has returned this year and it is more magical than ever. Mickey and his pals have put together an entertainment line-up that will get you into the holiday spirit almost immediately. Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration will take place on the Cinderella Castle stage starring the Big Cheese, himself. No yuletide celebration is complete without a parade of your favorite Disney Characters with a special appearance by Santa Claus, in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. The latest addition to this special party event is Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. Sip some hot cocoa while you enjoy these breathtaking fireworks spectacular.

Any Guest that holds a ticket to this special event, will be able to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM. You will receive a special event wristband that will allow you to remain in the park after it closes to regular Guests, (usually around 6:00 PM) before the actual party begins. Mickey and his pals have added you to their guestlist, and you will not need a Park Pass Reservation to enter Magic Kingdom if you are entering the park after 4:00 PM. If you were planning to spend your entire day in the Magic Kingdom, you would need a regular admission ticket and a park pass reservation.

While you are attending the party, be sure to ask a Disney PhotoPass Photographer about special holiday Magic Shots and photo ops near some of your favorite rides and attractions. Don’t forget to save some room for the special holiday treats offered only during the party!

    Happy Holidays,
    Andrea
