Hi Jerry! Welcome to planDisney!
You've made it to Walt Disney World Resort, and I have a feeling that you're hanging out somewhere on property right now making plans to have the most magical visit. I’m happy to dive into this question to put your mind at ease. Let’s get you into vacation mode!
I love that you've heard about the announcement about the upcoming shift for Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders to not need a
Disney Park Pass Reservation after 2 p.m. (except Magic Kingdom Park on the weekends). And the Disney Pixie Dust annual pass blockout dates will still apply. As a fellow Annual Passholder, I am beyond excited about this change, too. This means that I can jump into my car after work and dive right into the magic. However, this option is not currently available, and there is no set date for the policy change. It simply mentions that this will begin in "the next few months." I recommend keeping your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for future updates.
So, for your current trip, you’ll want to head over to your
My Disney Experience account and make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the dates that you plan on visiting the theme parks. If there is no
theme park availability for your desired park, I recommend making a reservation for another park and then park hopping after 2 p.m. to the initially desired park.
AN EXTRA GEM: While you're there, I highly recommend that you visit the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. It ends on February 20th, so there's a chance for you to experience it during this trip. It’s the perfect place to unwind and explore all of the cool art forms. I personally cannot get enough of the treats at Figment Inspiration Station. That Rainbow Cake is calling my name.
If you have any further questions while you're visiting Walt Disney World Resort, please don't hesitate to

Magic always,
