Do I need a park reservation for Very Merry Christmas at MK?

Season's Greetings, Lisa, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you may be planning on visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth during the most magical season of the year, and I'm here to talk all things very merry with you to make sure you have the most jolly holiday ever!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticketed event that takes place at Magic Kingdom Park during the holiday season. Your ticket will be good for admission on a specific night, so it serves as your reservation and once you have purchased your ticket and linked it to your My Disney Experience account, you will be good to go! In the past, your party ticket has allowed entry into the park as early as 4 PM, with the party festivities starting at 7 PM. My family usually enjoys sleeping in on a party day so we will be well-rested for the late-night events and then enjoying a late lunch before heading into Magic Kingdom!

Tickets for the 2024 Christmas parties have not yet been put on sale, so be sure to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about when to expect ticket sales to begin and for the release of party dates for this year. In the past, these ticket sales have started towards the end of June into early July, and party dates have usually begun in early November. I know I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the dates for 2024 will align with a trip I'm taking in November! There's nothing more magical than enjoying hot cocoa and cookies on Main Street, U.S.A. while watching Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade!

While we wait for more information, be sure to check out Everything Holidays at Disney Parks to get into the festive holiday spirit and read all about the other special seasonal offerings at Walt Disney World Resort. Some of my favorites are the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios - I love seeing my favorite characters dressed in their holiday best!

Lisa, I hope this answer brings joy to your world and helps you prepare for a holly jolly visit in 2024. If you have any additional planning questions, feel free to come back and let me know; you've got a friend in me!

    Magic and Memories,
