Hiya Sue,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your theme park reservation question! How exciting that you’ll be visiting during the holiday season. There is truly nothing like seeing the theme parks dressed up for the holidays, with twinkling lights, festive decorations, and a little extra pixie dust around every corner.
So Sue, speaking of the parks, let’s jump right into your question! Whether you need a
theme park reservation depends on the type of ticket you have. Theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets. However, reservations may still be required for certain other types of admission tickets, including some student group tickets, sports and convention tickets, Disney Military Salute Tickets,
Annual Passes, and other tickets that are not date-based.
If your ticket requires a theme park reservation, you can make one through your
My Disney Experience app. Simply select Park Reservations, choose the date and the Guests in your party, and then follow the prompts until your reservation is confirmed.
And Sue, since you’ll be visiting in December, I have to share one of my personal holiday favorites: the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! Between the beautiful
Candlelight Processional and the delicious Holiday Cookie Stroll, it is one of my favorite ways to soak in all that Disney holiday magic. Just talking about it has me ready for a cup of hot cocoa and a stroll around World Showcase!
Sue, I hope this helps make your holiday planning a little easier. If you have any additional questions, please come back and visit us again.
See you real soon,
Christina
