Welcome to planDisney, Cyndi! I'm so glad to be able to answer this question for you today about my favorite attraction at Walt Disney World Resort:
the food! I think that eating my way around the Most Magical Place On Earth is the best way to spend a day, so I'm happy to walk you through making your advanced dining reservations.
Cyndi, it's likely that you're having trouble making advanced dining reservations at the moment because they have not yet opened for the timeframe of your trip. As part of the phased reopening process,
dining reservations now open up 60 days in advance instead of 180 days, so you'll be able to begin making your reservations at 6 a.m. Eastern Time on December 8th.
If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you'll be able to make reservations for the length of your trip that morning! If you're staying somewhere off-site, you can make your reservations 60 days in advance of each day of your trip, so if the first day of your trip opens up for booking on December 8th, you'll be able to book your second day on December 9th, and so on. If you're planning on eating a Table-Service meal inside a Theme Park you will need to have valid
admission for that day as well as a
Disney Park Pass reservation, so be sure to have both of those things ready on your booking day if you want to reserve one of those restaurants. Reservations are highly recommended for dining locations at
Disney Springs and the Resort Hotels, but admission and a Disney Park Pass are not required to dine there, so those are great options on a day when you're not planning to visit a Theme Park!
I hope this answers your questions, Cyndi, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
