Do we need a park hopping pass to start the day at Magic Kindgom, go back to our off Disney site hotel for my 2 year old to nap, then return to Magic Kindgom that evening for fireworks?

    Hi Lisa,

Thankfully you do not need the park hopper option to take an afternoon break at Walt Disney World. You can leave whichever park your are visiting, go back to your resort for nap or pool time, then return to the same park later. I used to think breaks were only essential when traveling with small children or during the heat of the summer. I have two teenagers who still like to return to the resort for a break, no matter what time of year we travel!

The park hopper option is only necessary if you want to visit more than one park in a day. For example, if you want to start your day at the Animal Kingdom park and end your day at Epcot, you would need the park hopper option.
