Do you need park hoppers if your leave the park to rest in the mid day but return to the same park later in the day

    Hello Jessica,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I hope you are in the middle of planning your magical vacation, maybe even this year to enjoy The World's Most Magical Celebration!

There is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World. Even the most enthusiastic Disney fan can get exhausted going from park opening to park closing without taking a break at some point during the day. Not only can you leave the park, but I absolutely recommend it if you want to get an early start and still have energy left to enjoy any nighttime shows like Disney Enchantment and Harmonious at the end of the evening. With your ticket you are free to leave the park and re-enter the same park as often as you wish. Head back to your resort for a nap or swim during the heat of the day, or even make a lunch or dinner reservation at Disney Springs or one of the Walt Disney World Resorts. You'll come back refreshed, recharged, and ready to enjoy more time in the park.

You only need to add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets if you plan to leave one park and head to a different park on the same day.

Hope this helps. Stop by with any other questions you might have!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
