Hey there and welcome to planDisney, Brint. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. I'm so excited to hear that you are getting ready for a magical adventure at the Disneyland Resort. Let's get to your question to make sure you're prepared.
If you plan to adventure to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day, you indeed will need to purchase a
Park Hopper ticket for your visit. You will make a theme park reservation for the park at which you will begin your day and when the clock strikes 11:00 a.m. you can hop on over to the other park. You can hop between the parks as many times as you choose.
If you have plans to stay for more than one day, you may also consider purchasing a Multi-Day, One Park Per Day ticket. This ticket type allows you to visit one theme park for each day of your visit. When you make your theme park reservation, you will choose which park you'd like to visit for each day. With this type of ticket, you won't be able to hop between both parks on the same day.
I personally love having the option to hop between both parks on the same day. I'll have breakfast in Disneyland Park and then make my way over to Disney California Adventure Park later in the day for lunch (or vice versa). If you're visiting before the end of October, you'll get to experience
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. With a Park Hopper ticket, you can wave hello to the giant Mickey pumpkin in Town Square and then make a pit stop in "Radiator Screams" to check out the
spooky Haul-O-Ween décor. Be sure to check out the digital guide in the
Disneyland app with all of the spooktacular details.
Well, Brint, I hope this has been helpful as you are getting ready for your visit. Let us know if we can help with anything else. Here's wishing you a most magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
