Do I need a park hopper pass to ride the monorail?

A warm planDisney welcome to you, Mark. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us. It sounds like a magical adventure is in your future and I'm thrilled to help out.

One of the many things that I love about visiting the Disneyland Resort is the various modes of transportation that you can experience. From riding the Main Street Vehicles to the Disneyland Railroad and the retro-futuristic Disneyland Monorail. I think one of my favorite ways to enter Disneyland Park is taking the monorail.

There are Disneyland Monorail stations located inside Disneyland Park in Tomorrowland and Downtown Disney District near Star Wars Trading Post. All you need is a valid theme park ticket and a theme park reservation to Disneyland Park to ride. If you have a 1-Day, One Park Per Day ticket with a reservation to Disneyland Park, you're good to go. With a Park Hopper ticket, you're all set to ride anytime with a theme park reservation starting in Disneyland Park. Otherwise, you can begin riding the monorail once park hopping hours begin at 11:00 a.m.

Since we're on the topic of transportation at the Disneyland Resort, did you know that the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour recently returned? I had a chance to experience this tour on my last visit and quite enjoyed it. I loved hearing about the history and learning more about Walt's love for trains. The highlight of the tour was getting to ride in the elegant Presidential Car, the Lilly Belle. You could see and feel all the history surrounding you. It's something that I will remember for a very long time.

Well, Mark, I hope this is helpful as you are getting ready for your magical adventure. Please come back to share any other questions that you might be curious about. Here's wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
