I need opinions...traveling with a very picky 10 year old. I had to purchase the adult plan for her because of age. Is it worth paying the price of dining plan knowing she is so picky and will not eat the majority of items on adult menu? Thanks !

Greetings, Jennifer! I understand the trials of a picky eater! Not everyone is as happy as Pooh Bear to sit down to a meal, my son included.

You’re correct, because of her age, you’ll have to purchase the adult plan for your daughter. I’ve been so stuffed with awesome snacks like the Orange Bird citrus swirl that often times, I just don’t have the appetite for a giant plate! Personally, I’ve ordered a kids meal plenty of times with success (I was paying out of pocket at those times). My favorite kids meals come from the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre, where I can get dessert, too, as well as an adult beverage (like the can't miss Lunar Long Island Iced Tea!)

That being said, with the Disney Dining Plan, she’ll still be charged as an adult, since that is the credit she has. Be sure to check with your server, as policies can vary from eatery to eatery.  Sometimes, you’ll be able to order and adult-size portion of a kids meal option, as fellow panelist Ritzy details to another guest. It can be a smart thing to ask, you never know what pixie dust a Cast Member can provide!

I hope you have a yummy vacation, without any rumblies in your tumblies! ~ Lindsey P.
