    Need to modify my Wes plan, specifically cancel our dining plan, they said I can modify on my Disney experience, but I don’t see where

    Hi there, William! Thank you so much for bringing your question to planDisney. Planning a Walt Disney World vacation comes with lots of moving pieces, so it’s completely understandable to want to make adjustments as your plans evolve. I’m glad you reached out, because the Dining Plan is one of those elements that works a little differently than the rest of your vacation package.

    While many parts of your reservation can be modified directly through the My Disney Experience website, such as changing room types, adjusting dates, or updating the number of Guests, removing the Disney Dining Plan isn’t something Guests can do online. Even though the system allows for some self-service changes, the Dining Plan specifically requires assistance from a Cast Member to make sure everything on your package updates properly behind the scenes.

    The best next step is to call the Walt Disney World Resort Tickets and Hotel Reservations hotline. A Cast Member will be able to look at your full vacation package, confirm your eligibility for removing the Dining Plan, and make the change for you. They can also walk you through any price adjustments or balance updates that may occur after modifying your package. Once the change is complete, you’ll see it reflected in your My Disney Experience account!

    I always recommend calling sooner rather than later, especially if your travel dates are approaching, as package modifications are subject to the terms and conditions of your reservation. The Cast Members on the reservations team are wonderful and will take great care of you, since they handle these kinds of updates every day.
