Hi Kathleen and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you want to visit Walt Disney World in just a couple of weeks, so let’s cut right to the chase and give you some hotel options so you can start booking!
I just checked availability for your dates and saw two different Resorts that fit your criteria (note that availability is subject to change at any moment given how close we are to your anticipated check-in date):
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. This Resort features family suites that include a separate bedroom with one queen-size bed, one double-size convertible table bed and one double-size sleeper sofa. These family suites also have 2 full bathrooms (great for getting ready for rope drop in the morning!) and a kitchenette. The family suites currently available are themed to the Cars franchise and The Lion King. What I love about this resort is its access to the Skyliner for both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is a great method of transportation when going to those parks for Early Entry (a benefit of staying at Disney World Resort hotel!).
- The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. While this is a Disney Vacation Club Resort, you don’t need to be a DVC member to stay here. These cabins feature one queen-size bed, one queen-size pull-down bed, and a bunk bed. You’ll also have a full kitchen and your own private patio deck. Similar to Art of Animation, you’ll have dedicated transportation to the parks and access to Early Entry. But as a DVC Resort, you will also have access to Extended Evening Hours on select nights, another great perk for what’s likely to be busy days at the theme parks since we're in the middle of spring break!
Lastly, Walt Disney World has identified some select off-property hotels as
Good Neighbor hotels. You’ll have to check availability for these hotels individually as the website does not offer a combined availability search, but I recommend filtering the selections by hotel and room features you are interested in, such as family suites and complimentary transportation to Disney World. Keep in mind that some of these hotels may charge resort and parking fees and you will have to pay for parking at the theme parks as well when staying offsite.
Here's a bonus tip, staying at a Walt Disney World Resort gives you access to the Disney Dining Plan and there is currently a promotion for
a free dining plan for kids ages 3 to 9, so long as those ages 10 and up in the traveling party purchase the dining plan. It may be worth looking into!
Kathleen, I hope this information is helpful for you and I hope you’re able to successfully book a hotel for your upcoming trip. While you’re here, I highly recommend checking out the
International Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT! The topiaries and unique gardens makes you feel like Spring is in the air, and the delicious festival food is not to be missed! If you have any additional questions, please feel free
to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
