I will need a mobile electric chair. How to I maneuver lines and getting on rides?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Vicky ~

We are so glad you are hEAR! Disney World has done a really good job of making their parks and resorts as handicapped accessible as possible.

Most of the queues at Disney are now mainstreamed to accommodate Guests traveling in wheelchairs or Electric Conveyance Vehicles (EVCs). If there are queues that require Guests in wheelchairs or ECVs to enter through alternate queues, you can see a Cast Member for assistance. Depending on the wait time, they may give you a return time to come back to the attraction based on the current wait time. There are only a few of these and most of them are found at the Magic Kingdom like "it's a small world".

Here is some information regarding attractions for Guests with Mobility Disabilities including those that allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs or ECVs, those that require Guests in ECVs to transfer to wheelchairs to board, and those that require Guests to be mobile to enjoy. If an attraction requires Guests in ECVs to transfer to a wheelchair, they will have a courtesy wheelchair for use at the attraction.

For those attractions that require Guests to be mobile, keep in mind that if you are able to transfer and need physical assistance, someone in your party will need to assist you. Cast Members are not allowed to physically lift or assist Guests when boarding. They will be happy to move your wheelchair or ECV once you have boarded the attraction and will have it waiting for you afterwards.

Here is some additional information for Guests with Disabilities that may be helpful to you.

I am limited in space but please feel free to visit again. It is my pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
