Hi there, Sophie, and welcome back to planDisney!
I love that we can show off our Disney style by wearing a useful piece of tech on our wrists while at The Most Magical Place on Earth. But there are most definitely other ways (besides using a Disney Band—also known as a MagicBand+ in the United States) that can help us tap into the magic at the Disney Parks. Let’s get right into the information that you need.
A Disney Band, a physical theme park ticket, your iPhone and other Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, and even an Apple Watch can all help Guests enter the Disney Parks. What’s even cooler is that you can use any of these methods interchangeably throughout your stay. If you have your phone handy, use that. If a physical theme park ticket is available at the moment’s notice, grab that.
You’ll find that you’ll need to scan a theme park ticket during many occasions: entering a theme park, saving your
Disney PhotoPass photos, and checking into your Lightning Lane attractions. The key to being able to use your smartphone or Apple Watch is to make sure you have a linked digital ticket in your digital wallet. You’ll need the Disney MagicMobile Service for this.
Setting up the DisneyMagic Mobile Service is quite easy. Open the
My Disney Experience App and head over to the three horizontal lines in the corner of the menu. Find the “Set Up MagicMobile Entry” section. Then, follow the onscreen directions to add your theme park tickets to your phone’s digital wallet.
Sophie, I’m sending pixie dust your way. If you have additional Disney vacation planning questions, reach out to us here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
