Hi! I need a little clarification for my daughter who will be setting up her DAS selections prior to our trip this May. Does she choose an actual time to ride? If so, are there any limitations on her choice of times? Thanks for your help!

Greetings Nancy, and welcome to planDisney!

I am thrilled to hear that you are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort this year! You will have an amazing time enjoying the 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Disney Parks is committed to providing an inclusive environment for Guests with disabilities. The Disability Access Service or DAS has been upgraded to allow Guests to pre-register for services virtually, with a Cast Member, in advance of your visit.

To use this service, it’s important that everyone in your travel group already has their Theme Park admission tickets and a Disney Park Pass reservation for each park you plan to visit during each day of your trip. Your daughter, or you if she is under 18, can pre-register for DAS as early as 30 days before your first theme park visit and as late as 2 days before your arrival. Once her DAS is approved, the Cast Member will work with her to set up 2, one-hour return times for available experiences, for DAS Advanced Planning. During the selection process, your daughter can ask if a particular attraction is available at a certain time to accommodate your party. She will be allowed to make 2 advanced selections per day each day that you have purchased admission. Times may be limited to the availability of DAS Advanced planning times and they are not guaranteed.

If you are not able to pre-register for DAS virtually, you can still register in person at Guest Relations at the Main Entrances of EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can also register with a Cast Member at City Hall inside the Magic Kingdom. Guests who do not pre-register for DAS prior to arrival will not be able to make attraction selections in advance of the first day of their visit.

All Guests can make return time selections using the Same-Day DAS Time Self-Selection Tool. To access the tool, open the My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the “More” option in the lower right corner. Then tap the Disability Access Service (DAS) button to enter the self-selection flow. You can also speak to a Cast Member on the Guest Experience Team if the app is not available. Your return times do not expire, but you can only hold one DAS at a time.

If you have any more questions regarding Guests with Disabilities, please reach out to the Disability Services Team at (407) 560-2547 or email at disability.services@disneyparks.com.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
