Hello April, and welcome to planDisney! I'd be more than happy to help you with your question about linking your
theme park tickets and make sure you're good to go for your visit.
It is not necessary to link others in your group together, however, it would be beneficial to do so if you're planning on using
Disney Genie+ service, or handling everyone's
theme park reservations. To add other tickets to your account, you will need to download the
Disneyland app and log into your account. Then you'll click on the three lines icon in the bottom right-hand corner and then click on "Tickets and Passes". You should see a barcode icon that says "Link Tickets & Passes", and here you can add the rest of your group's tickets to your account.
If all members of your party decide to purchase Disney Genie+ service for that day, you will be able to choose
Lightning Lane selections for the entire group and keep everyone together on the same schedule. If you keep your tickets on separate accounts, it does make it a bit trickier to coordinate getting Lightning Lane passes for the same return time.
Another great benefit of purchasing Disney Genie+ service is not only the access to the Lightning Lane entrances, but you will also get to enjoy unlimited
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from that day as well! If you're traveling with a bigger group, this could be a great way to get some fantastic photos of everyone all together. I love a good selfie, but sometimes it's nice to have a professionally photographed group picture to cherish! Our favorite photo spots in the parks are on Route 66 in
Cars Land in
Disney California Adventure Park, and in
Fantasyland by the Sword in the Stone behind the
King Arthur Carrousel at
Disneyland Park.
Thanks again for visiting planDisney April, I hope this information was helpful for you and your upcoming trip!
Have a magical day!
Melissa
