Do you need to leave a credit card # or deposit when making reservations for any of the table service or character dining restaurants? Any charges for reservation cancellations? I'm trying for Be Our Guest 180 days away, and still can't get one. Advice?

    Hi Colleen!
Yes, all table service meals (character or otherwise) now require a credit card guarantee. If the reservation is not cancelled within 24 hours of meal, there will be a $10 fee per guest charged to your account. This is due to the number of guests who used to book reservations and then not show up without any notice which prevented other guest from enjoying the restaurant because they couldn't get a reservation. This has cut down considerably on that practice.
As for Be Our Guest, it is THE hardest dining reservation to get in all of Walt Disney World. The best thing you can try to do is to arrive at the restaurant at 3:45 or so and ask the Cast Members at check-in if there is any way you could be seated as a walk-in at the earliest time. Sometimes guests get lucky and get in right at 4PM. It's a long shot, but worth asking.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical trip!! :)
