Hello Rita! Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your visit is just about one month away! I am glad to see that you continue to plan.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at
Disney's Hollywood Studios has certainly drawn a great deal of excitement (and crowds), but like any good Jedi, those who seek knowledge are best prepared! So let's get give you the best information to help you experience the amazing rides!
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is one of the two attractions located in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. My best advice is to try to get a FastPass+ reservation to experience this attraction. If you are not able to get a FastPass+ reservation then you will have to wait in the standby line.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the second attraction located in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Disney Parks uses a Boarding Group system for Guests to experience this attraction. In order to access a Boarding Group, you will need to download the
My Disney Experience app to your mobile device. You can do that now, if you haven't done so already.
Once you have entered Disney's Hollywood Studios, during regular operating hours, click on the app. You will see "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - Access by Boarding Group." Click "Find Out More." Once you have done that, you should be able to access a Boarding Group. Most people who arrive at the park early enough in the day (at opening) find that they are able to get a Boarding Group assignment for that day. Those arriving later in the day are usually out of luck as the Boarding Group assignments go quickly.
And don't forget, Rita,
Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, is another Star Wars-themed attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This ride, while not located in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, can be accessed with a FastPass+ reservation or by waiting in the standby line.
You now have the best information to help you prepare for your visit to a galaxy far, far away! May the Force with you!
