I need to know what resorts are walking distance from Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom as we plan to reserve for the first week of October

October visits are great, Norma Alicia! This October promises to be an especially exciting time at Walt Disney World because it’s celebrating its 50th anniversary during the World’s Most Magical Celebration. The Disney After Hours Boo Bash, too, is going to be such a fun event for Guests. Oh, and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is happening. Gosh, there’s just too much fun to keep track of!

Back to your question, though. I’m happy to tell you that you can walk to Magic Kingdom from three hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort all have convenient walking paths to Magic Kingdom. All three of these resorts have neighboring Disney Vacation Club properties that are also within walking distance of Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Polynesian Village and Resort is the farthest away from Magic Kingdom and will require the longest walk (about a mile and a half).

Disney’s Animal Kingdom, on the other hand, is not accessible by foot from any resort hotel. To get there, you’ll need to either travel on a Disney bus or by vehicle.

I hope that helps, Norma Alicia. And I hope your trip is the stuff dreams are made of!
