Hi Joan! Welcome to planDisney!
Purchasing
theme parks tickets has never been easier than it is now. The fastest way to do so is by using the
Walt Disney World website. Here you can select the number of park days, the dates you plan to visit, and any add-on to your ticket such as the
Park Hopper Option. Once you get to the check-out screen, you will need to select the Guest that is planning on using this ticket. This will be how the ticket is assigned to that individual. After your purchase is complete, you can make your
park reservations for the specific parks you plan to visit.
Since you are unsure about one Guest in your party, I can suggest a couple of options that you may have. First, you can wait until this Guest is sure of their plans and then purchase the ticket then. Tickets are nonrefundable, so if you buy them now, you will not receive a refund if they can’t make it. You will however be able to use the value of that ticket at a future date. Keep an eye on the
availability calendar! If the dates leading up to your visit start to fill up, this will be a good indicator that it is time to decide.
Second, if you are worried that the park will reach capacity before the Guest confirms, then you can go ahead and purchase the ticket with the intention of them coming. If they decide they can not make it, you can reassign this ticket to another person before the ticket is used. If you don’t have anyone else that is available to join, then as I stated previously, you can use the value of this ticket on your next visit.
Joan, there are countless new experiences to enjoy during your upcoming stay. Just today, March 9th, the
Festival of Fantasy Parade is making its grand comeback to the
Magic Kingdom Park. I’m counting down the days until my next visit!
Have a magical time!
Greg
