hi , i just need to know when is the exact departure and arrival times for the disney cruise from Port Canaveral ? to plan my flights accordingly .. thanks !

    Hello, Khaled!

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney! Those of us who do not live near Port Canaveral should plan our flights with plenty of time for unexpected delays. I had family who lived less than an hour away from Port Canaveral, and I was always amazed at how easy it was for them to sail on the Disney Cruise Line!

Disney Cruise departure times may vary depending on the cruise. When Guests complete their Online Check-In before their cruise, they will receive a Port Arrival time. This is the time you can board your ship. Most Port Arrival times are between 11:00 am - 2:00 p.m. EST in my experience. For cruises departing from Port Canaveral before September 2, 2024, Guests must usually be aboard their Disney Cruise no later than 3:45 p.m., although I recommend boarding long before then. Beginning on September 2, 2024, some cruises sailing from Port Canaveral will leave an hour earlier, and Guests will need to be on their ship by 2:45 p.m. This is a "last call" time, and if you run into any travel issues, you may be unable to board the ship. That would be heartbreaking! Again, each cruise has a different departure time, which you can find in the itinerary for your cruise on the Disney Cruise Line website or in your travel documents.

Disney Cruise Line recommends that Guests cruising out of Port Canaveral in 2024 arrive at the Orlando International Airport no later than 12:00 p.m. EST for domestic flights and 11:00 a.m. EST for international flights on embarkation day. I usually arrive a day early for my Disney Cruises and stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Collections hotel or the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport hotel. This alleviates any stress from travel delays, and I like using Disney Cruise ground transportation to take me from my hotel to Port Canaveral.

Disney Cruise Line also suggests that post-cruise departure flights leave no earlier than 11:15 a.m. Guests can usually begin disembarkation around 7:30 a.m. EST at Port Canaveral. However, Guests are assigned a specific time to disembark, and your time may be a little later in the morning. These times are usually assigned the night before you disembark.

I suggest checking the Disney Cruise Line transportation page for up-to-date suggestions on arrival and departure times. Select sailings, including those leaving in 2025, have slightly different flight time recommendations. Choose"Sailing from Port Canaveral to The Bahamas or the Caribbean" on that page for information on flights, transportation, and more.

Khaled, I hope this information was helpful. Don't hesitate to get in touch with planDisney again if you have other questions!

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
