Welcome to planDisney, Victoria! Thanks for stopping by with your question! Sounds like you have a very magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth in your future. How exciting!
Reservations for
Savi’s Workshop to build your very own lightsaber can be made up to 60 days prior to your visit. To make a reservation, "Check Available Days" on the
Disneyland website or on the
Disneyland app by searching "Savi's Workshop." No reservations are required at the
Droid Depot, however! Just roll right in and get to work on your new droid-pal! Beep Bop Boop!
On my family's most recent visit to a galaxy far, far away, my son had the opportunity to build his own droid at the Droid Depot! He had so much fun selecting all the parts he needed, in the colors he wanted, for his R-Series unit. We were assigned a workstation where he was able to assemble all the parts together using straightforward instructions - and a screwdriver that came out of the sky! The final step was bringing his droid to life - pure magic! After a few minutes of getting acquainted with his new friend, my son was given the option to remote his new friend right out of the depot or put in a cozy box for safekeeping.
Tip: If you'd like to keep your hands free to pilot the
Millennium Falcon, take advantage of the complimentary Droid Daycare after completing your creation. Just make sure to hold on to your receipt and plan to pick up your droid before the park closes that same day.
While we were adventuring in Batuu, my son and I decided to experience the brand-new
Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga. For a Star Wars fan, like my son, this was an incredible projection show that told the remarkable story of the Skywalkers which wowed us both. We were told by a friendly Cast Member that the best viewing spot was up against the back wall facing the
Millennium Falcon, nearest the stairs. She said we wanted to be able to see across all the spires. She was right. The view was perfect! Check the
Disneyland app for showtimes on the day of your visit, Victoria, if you'd like to embark on a storytelling adventure across the galaxy.
I hope this has been helpful for you in your planning, Victoria, and that you have so much fun immersed in the Disneyland magic. If any other questions come up as your visit approaches, don't hesitate to
reach out again! I'm happy to help! I'm also known to give out food recommendations no one asked for, like have you tried the Morning Ronto Wrap at
Ronto Roasters? It's seriously so good and like nothing you've ever tasted on this planet! (See what I did there?) Menus are subject to change, but, no matter what, there's always something tasty to try at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Cheers!
