Hello there, Giovanna! Welcome to planDisney. It's great to have you sail to us with your question.
Disney Cruise ships typically arrive in port on disembarkation day quite early. If you are in a spot where you can receive your cellular signal, you may use that to access the internet and purchase Genie Plus and Lightning Lanes for your post-cruise park visit. I'm not sure if you'll be sailing from San Diego and visiting
Disneyland or from Port Canaveral and visiting
Walt Disney World, but I have been able to receive a cellular signal from the ship at the port in both of these locations.
When your cruise gets underway, you will want to place your cellular device in airplane mode and connect to the complimentary DCL Guest Wifi onboard. You'll be able to access important information within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app this way. You can also send and receive iMessages for free using this wifi. Additional internet options are available for purchase onboard.
When you return to the port at the end of your cruise, turn off airplane mode on your cellular device and you can use your cell service to make your plans for the day. If you have more questions about how to plan for your day in the parks, sail back to us and ask more questions! I have lots of panelist pals that specialize in Disneyland or the Walt Disney World Resort.
Enjoy your Disney vacation at sea and on land! Have fun!
