Ahoy, Cesar!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney for assistance with your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. I know it can be overwhelming to choose a cruise date when you have several options in your schedule. I'm happy to provide you with some suggestions to help you pinpoint the perfect date!
Cesar, I've been fortunate to sail with Disney Cruise Line during different times of the year, and I wouldn't hesitate to book a vacation with them in any month. I'm not sure which itinerary you're considering, but looking at possible
departure ports and destinations is a good way to narrow down which days in those months might work best. And I am always going to suggest a longer cruise because it gives you additional time to enjoy more ports of call, but the ship as a destination, too. With
8 ships in the fleet, you have a lot of options, and researching what each ship offers will also help in your decision. In August 2026/2027, you'll find Disney Cruise Line in
Europe, the
Caribbean, the
Bahamas,
Alaska, and
Singapore (no ports of call). The weather can vary a lot between these destinations, with warm and humid conditions in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Singapore, and possibly Europe. If you choose a sailing before Christmas or over Christmas Day, you'll be experiencing a themed cruise.
Very Merrytime Cruises offer added holiday fun with entertainment, festive décor, activities, and, of course, the characters dressed in their holiday best. I love these sailings because it's always the perfect way to get into the yuletide spirit. In December 2026, the fleet will sail to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the
Baja, and Singapore. The cruises around New Year's Eve won't be themed Merrytime, but a memorable celebration is always planned onboard to countdown to the new year! The weather can vary from warm to cool on these December sailings, depending on your destination. The beginning of April 2027 offers you an opportunity to sail to the Caribbean, Bahamas, the
Mexican Riviera, and Singapore. The weather will be warm and hopefully not as humid. Early April is often a popular time for families to sail, as it aligns with spring break in the United States.
Cesar, another factor to consider when planning your Disney Cruise is your budget. When you go to "Plan a Cruise" and then
"Find a Cruise" on the Disney Cruise Line website, you can browse each month's options to see how the prices line up. Prices can vary depending on the ship, the time of year, holidays, itinerary, and themed sailings. I also include my transportation costs to the departure city. Some ports might be easier and less expensive to travel to, and you always want to arrive the day before the sailing. It's peace of mind to have an extra day just in case you are delayed.
I hope my suggestions will help steer you in the right direction, Cesar. If you need any further assistance with your magical plans, please let us know. We'd love to help again.
Happy planning,
Nancy
