Hi Kathy,
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to greet you!
Well, let's get started! Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite things to do! First, I suggest that you review the amenities at each
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. My family adores resort hotels within walking distance to the parks. Magic Kingdom and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa have walking paths to Magic Kingdom. Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Beach Club, and Yacht Club Resorts are within walking distance to Disney's EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Next, consider the type of
theme park tickets you will purchase. Although my family loves tickets with the
Park Hopper® Option, we have used standard tickets which allow us to visit one park per day. You also may want to consider becoming a member of the
Annual Passholder family. We purchased Annual Passes about two years ago and have been quite pleased with the additional dining and merchandise discounts as well as the special preview opportunities!
After you book your
vacation package, be sure to mark your advanced dining reservation on your calendar. Currently, we can make advanced
dining reservations 60-days in advance. I also go to the home pages of each restaurant and click View Menu to see the pricing for each restaurant.
Kathy, I do hope this helps you get started. Remember that you can
contact a Cast Member by phone if you need additional assistance. Make sure you have created a
My Disney Experience account. Your vacation package as well as
Disney Park Pass system and dining reservations should be linked in that account!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
