Hey Joanne!
Thank you so much for bringing your question to us today. It'll be my pleasure assisting you.
Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is truly a beautiful resort. I personally love the Princess and the Frog theming; Tiana is my favorite princess after all.
Just like our pals Elsa and Kristoff, it seems like ice is important to you, and honestly, who can resist a little Frozen magic? I reached out to my buddy Kristoff to see if I could buy some enchanted ice from him, but he assured me that you'll find plenty of regular (non-magical) ice conveniently located at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort on every floor. If you plan to take ice into any of the theme parks, be sure to bring resealable bags, as loose ice isn’t permitted (even Olaf has to follow the rules!).
While you're enjoying your Disney Resort hotel, be sure to check out the pool. I love that you can use the pool at
Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter, too. And speaking of Port Orleans, don't miss the Mickey beignet from the
Scat Cat Club - Café. I've tried the ones in New Orleans, and honestly, these are my absolute favorite. They're a must for my family every time.
Don't forget that you can take the river ferry on the Sassagoula River to get to
Disney Springs. While you're at Disney Springs, check out
Splitsville Dining Room. I love the sushi, and they have plenty of options for even the pickiest eaters.
Joanne, once again, thank you so much for stopping by. Please come back and see me anytime you have a question.
Your personal planning companion,
Michelle
