Hiya, Margarita, and welcome back to planDisney.
It sounds like you’re ready to start planning a great
Walt Disney World vacation, and you’re already on the right track. While we’re Guests just like you who have mastered the art of planning Disney vacations, we aren’t travel agents and can’t book your stay for you. But I can absolutely point you in the right direction and help you understand how to put your vacation package together with ease.
The best place to start is right on the
Walt Disney World website, using the Build Your Vacation bar at the top of the page. Enter your desired dates, the number of Guests in your party, and then hit search. On the next screen, you’ll see all available
Disney Resorts Collection hotels that fit your group size. You’ll find everything from Value Resorts, like Disney’s Pop Century Resort, to Moderate Resorts, such as Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and even Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas, including Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney’s Riviera Resort. The differences usually come down to room size, location, amenities, and proximity to the parks.
Once you’ve chosen your home away from home, look for the box that says “Which offers would you like to see?” and make sure you have “Package” selected. This will show you pricing that includes both your hotel stay and your
theme park tickets. From there, you can customize your tickets by adding the Park Hopper Option, which allows you to visit multiple parks on the same day, a great way to make the most of your time at Walt Disney World.
Since you’ll be booking a full vacation package, you’ll also have the option to include a
Disney Dining Plan, which lets you prepay for meals and snacks throughout your stay. There are two types: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan, which includes Table-Service restaurants. You can also add
Memory Maker, which gives you unlimited downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos taken during your trip. Those iconic pictures in front of Cinderella Castle, on attractions, and with characters are all yours to keep.
I hope this helps get you started, Margarita. I’ve been lucky enough to stay at nearly all of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, so if you narrow it down to one or two options and want some honest advice on which might best fit your style, group size, or park plans,
send another question my way. I’d be happy to help you make the most of your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
TTFN!
