Hello, Michelle! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.
Here at planDisney we are a group of moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles and puppy parents that love sharing our knowledge and favorite things to do while on vacation at Walt Disney World. The cheerleading competition put on by Varsity is a little out of our wheelhouse. However, my daughter is also heading down during one of the competition weekends so I do have a little information that you might find helpful. Ultimately though, I do suggest reaching out to Varsity directly so they can help you with your tickets and any other questions you might have.
Earlier this week I did receive word that Varsity has been working hard with Disney to open up some park pass reservation spots for those who weren't able to secure them previously. Teams that got a bid to summit earlier had time to make their
park pass reservations and get things secured up but those who received one later in the season didn't have that same courtesy as a lot of the parks were already full. If you don't already have park pass reservations, here's what you need to do. First, you will need to download the
MyDisneyExperience app to your smartphone and log in to your account. Then, you'll need to open up the chat feature and message in the word "VARSITY". You will need to have your tickets already linked to your account prior to reaching out on chat. A Cast Member will respond and see if there are any extra park pass reservations open that you would be interested in from the extra availability only open to Varsity customers. If they are unable to get you into the park of your choice, keep in mind that you can always hop over to a different theme park starting at 2:00 p.m. each day with your park hopper ticket. If there is availability for you, the Cast Member will make your park pass reservations and then you should be able to see them appear on your MyDisneyExperience account. The chat feature is not available 24/7, you can message anytime but your follow-up message might be the next day. Also, keep in mind that the Cast Members working the chat feature also do not work for Varsity and are probably just as overwhelmed with all of this as you are. They will absolutely try their best to help you but please be patient while they also navigate these uncharted waters.
Michelle, I hope that your cheer team has such a fun time competing at Walt Disney World. It should be a nice weekend for all and I am really looking forward to it. If you need restaurant recommendations or to know where to find the tastiest treat in all of Walt Disney World, please don't hesitate to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Good Luck!
