I need help purchasing genie plus

    Hi Alissa, welcome to planDisney!

I sure wish we were sitting across from each other at a coffee shop right now. We share similar Walt Disney World Resort vacation countdowns and I've already talked my co-workers' Minnie ears off about my magical spring break destination.

I'm glad you stopped by with such an important question about Disney Genie+ service, which maximizes the magic during your park days by giving you access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. Genie+ can be purchased anytime after midnight each park day, but it's important to familiarize yourself with the thumb choreography in your My Disney Experience mobile app before arrival.

On each park day, Disney Genie+ service can be purchased anytime after midnight via the Tip Board of the My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Tip Board). Click on the Disney Genie+ Banner that says "Purchase for Today" along with the current price per person. I recommend purchasing by 6:45 a.m. so you can book your first Genie+ Lighting Lane reservation at 7:00 a.m. On busy park days, it's also possible for Genie+ sales to be paused, which is another reason you should purchase it in the early morning.

The next part of the Disney Genie+ service purchase process asks you to confirm your party. You can purchase Disney Genie+ service for anyone on your Family & Friends List with valid admission and a theme park reservation linked to their My Disney Experience account or account profile. Once your party is confirmed, follow the prompts to checkout.

To book your first Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation, scroll to your desired attraction on the Tip Board of the My Disney Experience app and click the "LL Disney Genie+ button" at 7:00 a.m. on the dot. You'll again have the opportunity to confirm your party, which is a helpful step if your party wants to split up and book separate attractions. Keep in mind that Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations assign you the next available arrival time, unlike à la carte Individual Lightning Lane purchases that allow you to choose a return time. In my experience, the attractions that run out of arrival windows fastest at each park include Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Peter Pan's Flight at Magic Kingdom Park, Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Test Track at EPCOT. If any of those attractions interest you, book them first and book a second Genie+ Lightning Lane as soon as you are able.

Once you've tapped in for your first Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation, or at the time listed on your Tip Board banner, you can make your next Genie+ Lightning Lane attraction. I make it a goal to book my next Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation while I'm in line to experience my first.

I'm happy to continue the conversation anytime, Alissa. I'll be keeping an eye out for you in the parks, too. I'll be the one wearing Minnie ears!

    Plan magic; planDisney.
