First off, I’d suggest at least three or four days in the parks. If you plan to arrive on the 22nd, that means you’ll be in the parks from the 23rd to the 25th or 26th. Visiting the parks on Christmas Day would be especially magical, I’m sure. You’ll probably find more flights at a better cost by
flying into LAX, but you'll have less traffic and a shorter drive if you fly into Long Beach Airport or John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Here’s a pro tip: if you fly into LAX, you can rent a car and return it at the
Enterprise Rent-A-Car desk in Pixar Place Hotel. If you fly to Long Beach or John Wayne, a rideshare is probably the way to go.
Accommodations are plentiful in the area surrounding the parks. Whether you stay at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel or a
Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, you’ll be pleased with the proximity to the parks and the high standards of service and cleanliness. Before you make a reservation, consider which ticket you’ll want and how many days you’ll spend in the parks. Purchasing tickets and accommodations all together comes with some
special perks! There is something magical about staying at one of the three hotels on property. The magic never ends - it’s there when you go to sleep and there when you wake up! The three Disneyland Resorts are also only a short walk from the entrance to both parks.
Deciding how you want to spend your time is important at this stage. Two single-park tickets and a
park hopper may meet your needs if you spend three days in the parks. That way you can dedicate a whole day to each park and use the park hopper to complete your must-dos in both parks on the third day. If you can only dedicate two days to your trip, then purchasing the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass will help you speed through the lines and experience as much magic as possible. I know this all sounds very busy, and maybe that’s not what you’re here for. Reserve a table at
Cafe Orleans in the evening for a nice dinner and take it slow if you like. You can make it a
Fantasmic! Dining Package, and get preferred seating for the show as well!
Six weeks before your visit, check the
Entertainment Calendar on the Disneyland website to see the times and locations for the shows, parades, and fireworks!
