Hi Tayeeba,
Welcome to planDisney! We are here to help!
First things first, let me give you a few tips to help you navigate all of the great planning tools on the
Walt Disney World website. Once you get familiar with the planning tools, you will be able to make and modify your plans!
I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. My family prefers resort hotels with several different
dining and
transportation options. A few of our favorite resort hotels include Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Next, price out a
vacation package. Once you enter your travel dates, number of people in your party, and ages of any children traveling with you, you should be able to see pricing and availability across different resort hotels. We always price our vacation packages early, about a year in advance, and then we start saving money. To book a vacation package, you will just need to pay a deposit and then pay the remaining balance by the due date, typically 30 days prior to your trip.
Once you book that vacation package, make sure you create a My Disney Experience account and then use your confirmation number (which should be emailed to you) to
link your vacation package in your My Disney Experience account. Once linked, you should be able to make payments online. Just log into
My Disney Experience, click on My Plans, and scroll down to see your reservation details. Once you see those details, you should see a link to Make a Payment.
Tayeeba, once your vacation package is linked, make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. Check the
operational updates regularly since policies and procedures could change. Finally, take a look at the restaurants that take
advanced dining reservations. Once your
dining reservation window opens, you will want to make those dining reservations, especially for character dining experiences or other popular restaurants.
Happy Planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
