I need some help planning our vacation! I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with deciding on well, anything. Where do I begin. We have 4 kiddos from age 1-10.

    Hi Jessica,

We are so glad you stopped by to seek some advice! planDisney to the rescue!

I remember feeling overwhelmed when I started planning our girls' first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! At the time, I chose to work with a travel agent. Soon afterwards, I felt confident enough to plan on my own. My first piece of advice is to review the resort hotel possibilities in the Disney Resorts Collection. If you will have two adults and four children, you will need some space. I suggest that you consider one of the family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort or a cabin at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Both of these sleep up to six adults. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa also has Treehouse Villas and 2 Bedroom Villas that sleep up to eight adults.

Given the ages of your little ones, I think they might enjoy Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The family suites are themed after The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo. The Big Blue Pool at this resort is also AMAZING! Once you decide on a few resort hotel possibilities, do some comparison pricing for vacation packages. When you do that pricing, you will need to decide on the number of theme park ticket days and type of theme park tickets. With the ages of your children, I suggest Standard 1 Park Per Day Tickets. Tickets with the Park Hopper® Option are wonderful but it is far easier to park hop with older children. When our girls were younger, we had a blast at one park per day.

Once you book a vacation package, you will need to link that reservation in your My Disney Experience account, so go ahead and create one now if you do not yet have one! Once you get a confirmation number emailed to you, log into My Disney Experience, click on My Plans, and then click on Add More Plans. Then select, Link Reservations and Purchases. Once your vacation package is linked, you will need to make Disney Park Pass system reservations for everyone in your family.

Jessica, I hope this helps you get started! Review the dining reservation possibilities and make those as soon as your dining reservation window opens! We are super excited for your Incredible Disney visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
