Hey Howdy Hey Bobb and welcome to planDisney!
We are so glad you are here and found us now that you are getting ready to plan your Magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort later this year. Thank you for stopping by with your question about planning a vacation. I will be happy to give you a few places on where to start!
With 21 different Disney Resorts Collection hotel options, 4 Theme Parks, 2 Water Parks and a total of 43 square miles, planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World can be a daunting task for some. The first place I would start is to determine what kind of planner you are.
If you like to do it yourself,
Disney does have a place online where you can start putting together your vacation to plan it all out. I personally love the process of looking into each resort and planning out the time of year and which parks to visit. My wife and I usually broke this up into bite-sized segments. One weekend we would look into resorts in a specific category we wanted to stay, develop a pros and cons list and make a decision. Next weekend we discussed parks to visit to determine park ticket days and there you have a vacation package. The process continued from there on attractions, dining reservations and such. You can feel free to search online for "Disney Planning Tips" as there are so many resources to choose from to outline your process.
For some that may not be as into planning or more under a time crunch, seeking the help of a Disney planner might be the right move. If you do an internet search for "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner" you will find many travel agencies that specialize in planning vacations to the Walt Disney World Resort. The best part of these services is that they are free! When you choose to go with a vacation planner, you will be partnered with an expert in planning vacations to Walt Disney World. They will be your guides to planning your vacation step by step and can answer any of your questions along the way. They will be able to make most of your reservations for you as well and you will be left with the fun and anticipation of your upcoming trip while they do much of the heavy lifting. When searching for these companies, look for the ones that have been earmarked. This is Disney's way of acknowledging the work these companies do with a special Disney distinction.
Once you determine which type of planner you are, you have your options on where to begin. Please know that
you have a friend in us here at planDisney throughout your planning process. If you have any questions about your trip, please feel free to stop back and we will help you in any way we can.
To Infinity and Beyond,
