    Hi Sharon,

Thanks for bringing us your question. I promise, you've come to the right place. Each of us at Disney Parks Moms Panel is here to help you and happy to do so!

A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is a magic-full adventure with so many moments and memories awaiting you and your family. Start by requesting a Free Disney Parks Vacation Planning Video.

I'm about to answer your question with, well, more questions. Just to help you begin thinking about your vacation. Let's start with 3 important questions:
    1. How many days do you want to visit Walt Disney World?
    2. Will you be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel?
    3. What time of year do you want to visit Walt Disney World?
Now, some suggested answers. For first-time guests, I recommend a 7-10 day visit. There is so much to see and do and enjoy. You'll want as much time as possible to build in relaxing down-time. Also, I always recommend staying "on property" at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel because there are so many benefits and options. As for time of year, check that off your list. You're thinking October. See how far ahead you are already?

There are more questions ahead. Where to dine? Which theme parks and attractions to take in? What FastPass+ selections to make? Breathe easy. These are fun questions. Answering these questions can get you giddy with excitement — "do I want awesome fun choice #1 or do I want equally awesome amazing option #2?"

Sharon, think of this as your first foot forward in your family's own Festival of Fantasy Parade taking you to Walt Disney World Resort.

Thanks for letting us help you plan to enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
