Hi Lynda! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Traveling to Disneyland Resort with a big group makes for lots of magical memories, but I also understand it can be daunting. Where to start in planning? While I can't provide the same services as a travel agent, I would love to make some suggestions to help.
Disneyland Hotel is our favorite hotel. I love the retro styling, dining choices, and convenient access to the Disneyland Monorail, which takes you directly into Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park. But if Disneyland Hotel doesn't have availability for the size of your group or the room types you need, you can't go wrong with either Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. They all offer great access to the parks and Disney theming. If you're interested in booking a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can either do so
online or by
speaking with a helpful Cast Member on the Hotel Reservations phone line or Vacation Packages phone line. Vacation Packages combine your hotel stay with admission tickets for increased value.
In addition to valid
admission tickets, you'll also need
theme park reservations for entry to the parks. The Holidays at Disneyland Resort are a very popular time to visit because of all the festive decor, merchandise, entertainment, and food. Parks and dates can and do fill up at this time of year, so it's important to purchase your tickets and make those theme park reservations as soon as possible.
Dining with big groups can sometimes be tricky. When making
Dining Reservations, you will probably need to book several smaller tables. You can request that your group be seated as closely together as possible when you arrive, and the Cast Members will do their best to accommodate you if they can. Dining Reservations can and do book up fast, so if you'd like to make those arrangements, do so as soon as possible. They can only be made online. There are Quick Service options with plenty of seating too if that's your preference. I recommend
Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland at Disneyland Park and
Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure Park as choices that have lots of seating and tasty choices that will satisfy a variety of appetites.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
