Need help planning a trip to Disney World.

    Hi Julie,

Welcome to planDisney! I am tickled to learn that you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

In looking at your planned arrival date, I am even more excited because you will arrive soon after the launch of The World's Most Magical Celebration. That means that we need to get your plans secured as soon as possible! First things first, price out a vacation package. Once you click on the vacation package link, click on Book your Walt Disney World Vacation today. Enter the number of people in your party and ages of any children traveling with you. We prefer the Disney Resorts Collection hotels and typically book resort hotels with multiple dining and transportation options. Using the dates you plan to travel, check the theme park reservation availability calendar to make sure there are Disney Park Pass system reservations available for the dates of your visit.

Given that you are booking several months in advance, to reserve a vacation package, you need only pay a deposit to secure a reservation. Once you pay the deposit, you will receive a confirmation number via email. If you have not done so already, create a My Disney Experience account and use that confirmation number to link your reservation to your account. Once linked, you can log into My Disney Experience, click on My Plans, scroll down to see your reservation details, and you should have an option to Make a Payment. I always use that link to make payments online for our vacation packages. Or you could book your vacation package by contacting a Cast Member by phone.

Once your vacation package is booked and linked in My Disney Experience, I suggest that you explore your dining options. I always recommend making advanced dining reservations. For us, dining reservations are helpful in so many ways - we get a nice air-conditioned break and we take advantage of character dining experiences. Although Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering is fantastic, having advanced dining reservations gives us a set time to eat and, for my family, that works well. Currently, the advanced dining reservation window is 60-days prior to arrival, so mark your calendar and get set to start making reservations at 5:45 a.m. on that day!

Julie, get that vacation package booked! Magic awaits!

    Magic and memories,
