How ya doin' Ebony and welcome to planDisney!
Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort the first time can seem a little daunting. I know it definitely did when I planned one for the first time. I'm so glad that you reached out to us for help. Because you're shooting for an early April arrival date I'm going to try to make it as simple as possible.
On the
Walt Disney World website homepage, you can find a fantastic Build Your Vacation tool. It's a great way for you to plan the vacation of your dreams and even create multiple carts to compare prices and choose the one that works best for you. You can enter your desired arrival and departure dates, specifics about your travel party, and even which
Disney Resorts Collection hotel you want to stay in. Because the dates you want are a bit close, I would leave the hotel options blank to get the full picture of availability across the entire property. From there you can View Rates for those hotel rooms and choose a Vacation Package that includes purchasing your
Theme Park Tickets. You can choose how many Tickets you want and for how many days, and which Ticket Options you're interested in. I'm a
Park Opper Option type of girl myself. You can then hit that green Check Out button and be on your way to the time of your life.
Pro-tip: Before you do anything else, there are two things I implore you to do.
1. Create your
My Disney Experience account and download the corresponding app. Your whole Disney life can be controlled right on your mobile device for easy access to all of your reservations.
2.
Check Park Pass Availability before you buy your Tickets. Walt Disney World is currently requiring
Theme Park Reservations so make sure there is availability for you and your party at the Disney Parks you want on the dates you want.
And you can't visit The Most Magical Place on Earth in the springtime without a visit to the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. The
Outdoor Kitchens alone are enough to keep me coming back.
Ebony this trip is going to be a wonderful moment in your life. Your diligent planning deserves a pat on the back.
Come on back if you have any more questions. That's what planDisney is for!
Happy planning!
