Hi Tammy,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to hEAR that you are planning a birthday surprise at the Walt Disney World Resort! I am always happy to greet a fellow North Carolinian!
I prefer to make my reservations online on the Walt Disney World Resort Website. To do so, you can book a
vacation package that includes a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and
theme park tickets. Once you book that vacation package, be sure to
link it in your
My Disney Experience account.
Next, you need to make
Disney Park Pass system reservations for each day that you have valid theme park admission. And, I highly recommend making advanced dining reservations for your visit. Currently, the
dining reservation booking window is 60-days prior to arrival. On my most recent visit this past weekend, it was the launch of
The World's Most Magical Celebration. One evening the My Disney Experience Mobile App was not functioning well and lots of us who had ordered from
Casey's Corner saw our orders disappear in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. The good news is that the Cast Members were AMAZING and got folks served quickly.
My family's favorite character dining experience is
Topolino's Terrace: Flavors of the Riviera. Cinderella's Royal Table, Tusker House, and Chef Mickey's also have modified character experiences so be sure to check with the dining location when you arrive.
Tammy, I do hope you get to experience part of the 50th Anniversary festivities. I love the joy that
The Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort brings us - the music, food, and holiday decorations are all so lovely! This year, the festivities begin on November 12. I hope you are still planning to visit.
Happy Birthday!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
