Welcome to planDisney, Noah!
I can't think of a better way to begin a marriage than a honeymoon at Walt Disney World Resort. And I'm not just saying that because my wife and I did the same thing! A Disney honeymoon is a perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, thrills, and romance. You're going to have an enchanting time!
But I know planning a Disney honeymoon can be overwhelming. But don't worry; you've got a friend in me!
My first recommendation would be to visit
Disney's Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons. You can request a digital brochure, which will give you helpful information about the various honeymoon packages for Walt Disney World. You can even create a honeymoon registry for Walt Disney World Resort called Honeymoon Wishes. Your friends and family can then contribute to enchanting experiences that you can enjoy during your vacation, such as VIP tours, horseback trail rides, and dining packages. They can even contribute towards tickets, accommodation, and snacks! There's a number you can call and someone can help you walk through your options. I really wish I knew about this resource when I got married!
If you don't want to book an official honeymoon package, you can always
speak directly with a Cast Member. They can help you plan a vacation that accords with your budget. They'll be able to book accommodation and tickets for you, as well as answer any questions you might have. Another option is to find an authorized Disney vacation planner. There are a number of no-fee agents who can help you plan your vacation (often even saving you lots of money in the process).
As you think about your trip, did you know that Walt Disney World has so many
world-class restaurants? If you're looking to treat your new spouse to a romantic meal, I'd encourage you to make a dining reservation at one (or more!) of the following restaurants: California Grill, Cítricos, Jiko – The Cooking Place, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Narcoosee’s, Steakhouse 71, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. "If you're stressed, it's fine dining we suggest!"
If you'd like to capture the memory of your honeymoon in a uniquely special way, consider booking a
Capture Your Moment photo session at Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT,
Disney's Animal Kingdom, or
Disney's Hollywood Studios. These personalized 20-minute photo sessions will give you professional photos that you'll cherish forever.
Finally, as soon as you arrive, stop by Guest Relations at any Theme Park and inform a Cast Member that you're celebrating your honeymoon. They'll give you some special buttons, which you can wear throughout your trip. Cast Members and fellow Guests will see those buttons and be able to give you their congratulations. My wife and I did this for our honeymoon and it made our trip extra special.
I hope that's helpful, Noah! If you have any more questions, please stop by planDisney again. Congratulations on your Happily Ever After!
Mike
