Need help with planning a Disney vacation for October 2021? This is an adoption celebration, my sons first time to Disney and I haven't been to Disney since 1995.

Laura, with a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, we here at planDisney offer our warmest welcome to YOU!

As a fellow Pennsylvanian, I’m thrilled to chat about your upcoming vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth and can’t imagine a better reason to celebrate than the joys of adoption. Laura, while you will be celebrating an adoption, the Walt Disney World Resort will be celebrating its golden birthday as it turns 50 on October 1, 2021! While we don't yet have any details on the festivities, I'm sure it will be every bit as charming as Cinderella's carriage and as lavish as the ball where she lost her slipper.

Laura, since it’s been a few years since your last visit, let’s begin by discussing some basics.
First, if your vacation fund allows, I always recommend staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. With options that range from value accommodations to deluxe, you’ll find something for all budgets and tastes. Staying on property always makes my family feel like we are in the middle of the Magic and takes away stresses like transportation to and from the parks. As you’re exploring the different options HERE, make sure to read the Best Tips for Selecting a Resort

Second, let’s talk about those theme park tickets. The Walt Disney World Resort of today looks a bit different than it did in 1995 and to experience all aspects of the Magic, I recommend visiting all four theme parks. When considering how many park days best suit your vacation goals, take a look at the attractions offered at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Typically my family will spend one day at each park if we are visiting for five nights. If we have the luxury of a longer stay we will often add on a second day at Magic Kingdom Park or enjoy a “rest” day in the middle of the week to relax and recharge! Laura, take a look at the ticket options HERE. These can be purchased separately or (if you are booking a Disney Resort Hotel) bundled with your resort stay into a package.

Lastly, no vacation for me is complete without delectable dining options. From Quick-Service restaurants to Signature meals, I'm here to assure you that you'll find choices aplenty!

Laura, I hope this sparks your Imagination and as you continue to plan please come back to planDisney with more questions. We are all EARS!
