We need help planning an 18th birthday party for my special needs brother. And about 25 guest? Any restaurant recommendations?

    Hiya, Courtney!

I offer happy birthday wishes to your brother. Celebrating a birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth is such a wonderful plan. We were able to celebrate birthdays of our own special-needs children at the Disneyland Resort this year as well. We were able to create very special memories as a family. Depending on your brother’s special needs, there are a number of great dining locations I would like to suggest for your own celebration.

Blue Bayou Restaurant. The dim lighting and the quiet atmosphere of the bayou scene inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction may be a great location for guests if over-stimulation is a potential concern.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes. How about a catered bowling party in the Downtown Disney District? Special equipment such as bumpers and bowling assist ramps may be available as well.

Goofy's Kitchen. My favorite Character Dining experience is at the Disneyland Hotel. Because she loves the classic Disney Characters so much, my special-needs daughter requested this location for a special occasion.

Wine Country Trattoria. The open-air atmosphere of this location includes a beautiful view of the Pacific Wharf area of Disney California Adventure Park. I’ve always found the Cast Members at this restaurant to be very kind and accommodating.

For making large-group reservations, I recommend calling the Disneyland Resort dining reservation line at (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463. While you are on the line with them, you may want to ask about celebration cakes to help mark the occasion.

Tony’s Tip: Don’t forget to pick up a complimentary birthday celebration button at any of the Guest Relations locations.

I hope you have a magical time, Courtney!
