    Need help planning

    Hi April,

Welcome to planDisney! You need planning help and we are here to help you plan!

I am so happy to help you get started! First, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Decide which amenities you would prefer and what your budget might be for the trip. My family prefers resort hotels with several dining options and access to multiple Resort Transportation options. Two of our favorite resort hotels are Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa because they are within walking distance to Magic Kingdom.

Once you have selected a few resort hotels that might work, do some comparison pricing by searching vacation packages. Click on the vacation package link to Start Planning Your Disney Vacation. Select the type of theme park tickets - Standard 1 Park Per day tickets were good for us when our girls were younger. Once our girls have gotten older, they can manage going to multiple parks in a day using tickets with the Park Hopper® Option.

When you are ready to book a vacation package, put down your deposit. Once you book it, you should receive an email confirmation. Take that confirmation number to link your vacation package details to your My Disney Experience account. If you have not yet created a My Disney Experience account, take a few minutes to create one. We use this account to link vacation packages, advanced dining reservations, and Disney Park Pass system reservations. Once your vacation package is linked, you can start making park pass reservations for each Guest traveling with you, for each day that you have valid theme park admission.

Last tip - you will need to use the My Family & Friends list to link others who are traveling with you so that you all can plan together. Since I make the plans in my family, I manage everyone's profile in My Disney Experience account. When I travel with friends who have their own My Disney Experience accounts, I have to connect with their accounts through the My Family & Friends list. I typically click on Add a Guest, enter their name and age, and then send them an email to connect.

April, I hope this will help you get started! If you need someone to actually help you make reservations, you will need to contact a Cast Member by phone or work with a travel agent. In the meantime, start searching for vacation packages to get a sense of the pricing and availability!

    Magic and memories,
