Hi there,
Welcome to planDisney, thank you so much for this question, and thank you for planning what will be a really magical trip for your family! I'm sorry to hear about your family's losses - know that we here at planDisney are here to make planning your upcoming trip as smooth and seamless as possible!
I'm happy to share that the Walt Disney World Resort is dedicated to providing a fantastic experience for all Guests - including those with disabilities. I've seen this first-hand when it comes to members of my family with disabilities.
My suggestion for your first stop would be the
Accessibility at Walt Disney World Resort page. It's full of helpful resources and guides to planning your trip and has helpful sections for different kinds of disabilities. It's an extremely comprehensive page and the best place to start your planning.
There is also the
Disability Access Service (DAS) for Guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period.
Finally, if you'd like to chat with a Cast Member about your trip, then I would recommend calling
Disability Services or you can email them at
disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Thank you again for your question! I hope you and your family have a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
